At sign-up on hilorna.com/start, a person enters their mobile number and must tick both boxes below. The boxes start unchecked and sign-up can't continue without them.

When a family member sets Lorna up for a parent, Lorna never texts the parent first. The parent opts in by texting JOIN to Lorna's number. Lorna's first reply confirms the sign-up, says Msg & data rates may apply, and tells them to text STOP anytime or HELP for help. By texting JOIN, the parent agrees to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
