[USPS Alert]: Your package could not be delivered on 10/20 due to an incorrect house number. Please update your delivery details within 12 hours2 or your item will be returned: https://usps-redelivery-portal.info/update1

1 · A link to tap2 · A 12-hour deadline3 · Normal 10-digit number
  1. 1

Real USPS texts never include a link. Not even one that looks official. A package text with a link to tap is a scam.

  2. 2

The rush is the trick. A deadline pushes you to tap before you stop and think.

  3. 3

You never asked for it. USPS only texts if you signed up with a tracking number first, and real texts come from a 5-digit short code, not a 10-digit number.

Your calm next step

Don't tap the link. Just delete the text. Waiting on a package? Type usps.com into your browser yourself.

Not sure?

Text Lorna a screenshot before you tap anything. We'll point out the scam signs with you.
